For over 9 years, in the Municipality of Viana, urban district of Zango, there has been no water from the public network, causing residents to buy 20L drums from motorized tricycles (Kupapata), at a price of 200 to 500 kz and in the neighborhood that have water tanks.

During rainy weather, residents have often placed basins, buckets and other containers at their doorsteps to make use of the precious liquid, thereby also reducing costs.
The lack of natural resources in the public network and the lack of a way to treat the water in the reservoirs has meant that many families end up getting sick from consuming the same water.
